El pasado mes de Julio, la estudiante del grado en Ciencias del Mar, Irene Sánchez Méndoza, defendía su Trabajo Final de Grado (TFG). Este trabajo se centró en el estudio del sistema del CO 2 entre Tenerife, La Gomera y La Palma, a través del buque de oportunidad Benchijiua Express de la compañía Fred Olsen. El resumen del trabajo (en inglés) indica: The seasonal and annual variability of the different carbonate system variables in the western island waters of the Canary archipelago (La Palma, La Gomera, and Tenerife) were investigated for four years. Data were collected between March 2019 and May 2023 aboard a Voluntary Observing Ship (VOS).
